“I needed to keep involved so that I “understood” what it was the students were involved in during their studio practice. It still seems important to me that art teachers at any level be involved in studio activity so that they can keep fresh in their minds and bodies what the creative process is all about. This does not mean one need exhibit, but only that one “arts”­­ ­that one makes art in some manner.”
