2017 –History & Memory: Becoming an Art Educator in the 1950s & Now
“Biographical research let me examine not only how various subjects contributed to the development of art education, but also how they had learned in, about, and through art as children and young adults. At times this task felt like a process of infinite regress. I created hand-written timelines to track my subjects. As I embarked on new subsets of the big project, I would align these timelines identifying overlaps and significant events.“
